Newsletter w/c 25th September 2017

If the newsletters have done their job, it shouldn’t be a surprise that the bag is a day early this week. Apologies if I haven’t managed to communicate this to you in time. I have to be away at the end of the week so have moved deliveries forward to arrive one day earlier.

Its Lynda’s birthday this week so I’ve organized for us to get a few days away in France. It was all supposed to be a surprise, but the cat got out of the bag about two weeks ago, which makes organizing things a lot easier. We’ll be back in plenty of time for next weeks veg run and everything will be back to normal as far as delivery days are concerned.

There was a problem with blight in some of the potatoes a few weeks ago. All the damp conditions this summer is certainly having an effect. I haven’t noticed any blight in the variety we’re lifting at the moment, but if you do find that a lot of your tatties are unuseable, please let me know.

The veg selection is definitely taking a much more wintery look now with roots and brassicas predominating . If you’d like certain items in your bag every time(apart from the carrot, onion and potatoes that are constants) then let me know and I’ll try to accommodate this where possible. Also, as always, let us know if there is any types of veg you’d rather avoid as we will often be able to substitute to give you something you want.
